Escape to the woods this Summer and discover how our ancestors used primitive technology including Friction Fire Making, Flintknapping, Outdoor Cooking, Shelter Building and Archery to survive and have fun!
Course contents:
- Flintknapping: scraper production, simple flake technology, flake production and retouch and other basic tools.
- Friction Fire Making

You will have the unique chance to discover a range of Primitive Technologies with Karl Lee, one of Britain’s leading Primitive Technology experts, and Luca Parrella, a qualified and experienced NFAS (National Field Archery Society) Coach.

Karl Lee
I have accumulated a great deal of experience lecturing and demonstrating flintknapping and other primitive technological techniques to schools, colleges, museums and universities around Britain, including the British Museum, London.
It is my aim to continue my research into the production of prehistoric stone tools and primitive replications and to produce quality items for the education of future archaeologists at all levels and the general public of all ages.
