Falconry Course
Monday 18-Wednesday 20 August, 10am-4pm
Learn the basics of handling, feeding and flying with Hawks, Falcons and a stunning Golden Eagle with Falconer Chris Miller.
Chris will be bringing six to seven birds including a Golden Eagle, Gyr Falcon, Harris Hawk, Barbery Falcon and Saker Falcon.
Day One
- History and Practice of Falconry
- Leather Work to make your own Jesses to attach to foot of bird & Hoods for transportation of the bird
- Fitting the equipment to the bird
- Flying the Hawks
Day Two
- Feeding & Food Preparation
- Health & Hygiene
- Flying the Hawks
Day Three
- Training the Bird
- Flying to the Fist
- Flying to the Lure
This is a fun hands-on course aimed at adults and children aged 10+

Chris has over thirty years experience in flying birds of prey. He is an approved assessor for the Lantra Award and runs courses throughout the country.
