Are you looking for a WOW day as an introduction or follow-up to Invaders and Settlers? Your year group can spend the day with our Iron Age clan and live as Ancient Britons in the comfort of your own school - plus no travel costs!!

You will learn to be warriors, farmers, healers, craftspeople and listen to stories. Listen to stories and learn hands-on how Iron Age Britain was affected by Roman settlement.

A typical day's programme includes an exciting range of hands-on activities for your children to enjoy:

  • Storytellers
    set the scene of Romano Britain, as Roman culture mixed with the ancient Celtic heritage of Britain. Your imagination will be captured by tales of adventure from Queen Boudicca, Finn McCool and the Celtic Warrior Saints.
  • Farmers
    Grind grain to make flour and Iron Age food.
  • Craftspeople
    Weave rush into Brighid Cross to bring you luck. Card & Spin yarn ready for weaving.
  • Warriors
    Learn battle and hunting techniques including the Owl talk where you can meet the Eagle Owls and Barnie the Barn Owl
  • Healers
    Make poultices and ointments from aromatic native herbs
  • Traders
    we can also set up our Celtic Market with Celtic jewellery, candles and precious gems if you wish to trade with Celtic coins at the end of the school day!
