We are delighted to be opening Celtic Harmony Camp, Prehistory Open Air Museum, from 8 July.
We have demonstrations from Prehistory tools to friction fire lighting and are also offering overnight stays in the roundhouses.
The health and safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our top priority and we have introduced a number of health and safety and hygiene measures. You can find out more about the measures we have put in place here.
Celtic Harmony Camp, Bourne Wood, is a 13 acre site located in beautiful native woodland, with plenty of space for families to enjoy their day whilst maintaining a safe distance from other family units. The site is a conservation area and there is a no picnicking and guide dogs only.
Celtic Harmony Camp is located near Hertford, Hertfordshire SG13 8NY, here are directions.
There are marked bays in the car park to enable families to social distance. Once you have parked, please walk up the track to Celtic Harmony Camp for your arrival time slot.

Demos and Activities
Immerse yourself in ancient Britain with the Prehistory Tools Talk at 11.30am and 2.30pm and the Friction Fire Lighting and Storytelling at 4pm.
Explore the camp on Ryanna’s Quest, taking part in activities from cave drawing, rush craft and Beaker pottery.
Choose from a selection of pizzas made daily in the wood fired pizza oven, hog roast and vegetarian options, Family Days Out Menu 2020
The shop is located in the café and is open from 2pm, offering a range of fair trade and heritage products to take home as souvenirs of your day.
